SilkPeel DermalInfusion Microdermabrasion Revitalizes Your Skin

January 5th, 2010

Are you looking for a solution to dull, aging skin that doesn’t include painful procedures or recovery time? SilkPeel Dermalinfusion Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive solution to your query. It revitalizes your skin’s appearance, promotes production of new cells in the deepest skin layers, cleanses pores, and stimulates collagen networking, all resulting in improved skin texture and appearance. Our new SilkPeel Microdermabrasion uses diamond tip technology to gently and painlessly exfoliate your skin while infusing medicated solutions into the skin to hydrate it and rejuvenate it. A vacuum suction removes the excess fluid with the dead skin cells, leaving you with new, softer skin and an even skin texture.

 How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Think of Microdermabrasion like a “superficial skin polishing” that doesn’t hurt. The Diamond tip skin exfoliator loosens the dead skin on the surface while the medicated fluid is sprayed at an angle to your skin. The result is sloughing of dead skin leaving smooth, shiny, hydrated skin. Microdermabrasion promotes both deep skin tissue and collagen rejuvenation while infusing hydrating fluid into your skin. This further promotes vibrant, youthful looking skin while minimizing fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and age spots.

What are the advantages of SilkPeel DermalInfusion Microdermabrasion?

Unlike old-fashioned Microdermabrasion, which leaves your skin feeling tight, dry and wind burned, there are no abrasive dust particles to breath, nor is there any downtime. This painless, breakthrough treatment simultaneously exfoliates the skin with diamond tip technology while infusing soothing serums that meet each patient’s specific skin condition. There are three types of therapeutic serums available: one hydrates your skin, one brightens aged skin, and one specifically designed to improve acne. The treatment may also be used in conjunction with chemical peels and laser treatments to maximize results

What Does Microdermabrasion Treat?

Microdermabrasion treats many signs of prematurely aging skin including fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, chicken pox scars, and enlarged pores. It decreases the appearance of large pores and can help uneven skin pigmentation. Microdermabrasion gets rid of dull, lackluster skin giving you a more youthful appearance.

What Are Microdermabrasion Treatments Like?

Microdermabrasion treatments last less than an hour and are performed in our office. Our Aesthetician will clean your treatment area and then will use a jet of medicated fluid mixed with sterile diamond tip technology to gently exfoliate your skin. No anesthesia is needed. Pressure is adjusted for your skin’s needs. The Microdermabrasion machine’s hand piece is moved across the treatment area delivering a precise stream of fluid onto the skin’s surface; the sloughed off skin cells are then suctioned off to reveal a fresh, vibrant skin surface. After your treatment, you can resume your normal activities immediately.

Does It Hurt and What Can Go Wrong?

Because Microdermabrasion is non-invasive it has a low risk of complications and is one of the safest rejuvenation procedures available. Rarely, the procedure can carry the potential risks of hyperpigmentation, perforation, bleeding, and infection. Most people do have varying degrees of redness of their skin after a treatment. Some people should not have Microdermabrasion and should notify their aesthetician if they have undiagnosed skin lesions, recent herpes outbreaks, warts, stage 3 or 4 acne, active rosacea, unstable diabetes or auto-immune disorders.

What Should I Expect from Microdermabrasion Treatment?

The procedure is non-invasive and requires no recovery time, though some skin may remain red for up to 24 hours after the treatment. After the first treatment the skin will have a fresh, radiant glow. Fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots become greatly diminished, and many patients report that their skin seems to be softer, smoother and younger looking. Improvement continues throughout the treatment program, and you’ll begin to notice visible results after the third treatment.
