Breast Lift

Do your breasts sag and droop? If you are like many women, the effects of time, gravity, skin elasticity, and pregnancy can make a woman’s breasts droop and sag. Pregnancy can enlarge a woman’s breasts for breast feeding, which can result in sagging and shrinking of the breasts after the pregnancy. Age can also cause the breasts to sag and point downward. Age increases skin elasticity and gravity pulls the breasts down, distorting their shape. If you are suffering from any of these problems, you may be a candidate for a breast lift procedure.

A breast lift, also called a mastopexy, is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape the breasts. The goal is to give the breasts a more uplifted, perky, natural pointing forward shape. It also can create a firmer and more contoured appearance to the breasts. During breast lift surgery, the sagging excess skin and fat are removed, and the breast is raised and lifted to a more natural shape. The nipples and areolas (pigmented areas around the nipples), are repositioned to a higher level. The resulting shape is more natural, but there are always associated scars that accompany the procedure in order to create this more natural shape.
